Eulogy for a favourite dog

He was my working week, my Sunday rest
My north, my south, my friend, the best.
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song;
I thought my lovely dog would last forever: I was wrong.

La Petite Boulangerie

Here is an old picture of a very special place in Normandy. It is an old bakery building, with a clay "igloo" oven just hidden by the weeds to the right of the picture, it does not look anything like this now!

We May Be Friends Again

We may be friends again
But will the friendship last
Shall we walk on eggshells lest
You rake up all the past

All those little silly things
Our every careless word
Our lack of care, our liasez faire
Or something you've misheard

We shall always be afraid to make
Too small or too much fuss
Our door was always open
But was yours for us?

As long as we still disagree
Over who was not to blame
We may be friends again I hope
But never quite the same

Your Face

a poem by frazer

We met just for an hour or two
Me with my wife, steve with you
How he looked I do not know
But your face I remember so

You wore a lovely summer dress
Blue and low and loose and yet
I can't remember what my wife
Was wearing as she slept last night

Neigbourhood Watch

A poem by Roger Mcgough

It's a sin it's a crime now we can't tell the time
Our neighbourhood watch has been stolen
